Structural Support:
Pocket Hoops, Panniers & Bum Rolls

Another area where construction and patterning was needed for Liaisons, was the structural support garments. We were able to borrow a few, but not enough for everyone. Cecile's comparative youth and innocence was visually aided by the use of the smaller pocket hoops, which were built for this show, while the older, more mature and more fashionable/powerful characters were all given larger panniers. I built two panniers for this show and the pocket hoops. I also created 3 bum rolls for the maids.

With time tight, the panniers were drafted directly onto the fabric, so there are no paper patterns to share here.
